THE STONE CARRIAGE HOUSE

The carriage house behind the Wilber mansion as it currently appears.
This mural is currently scheduled for the year 2000.

The Carriage House behind Wilber Mansion - housing Oneonta's Arts Council (Upper Catskill Community Council on the Arts) - is the planned site for a mural that recreates the Wibur carriage house in the 1870's, though with a new, stone face. The mural, when completed, will extend around the entire building. Doors and windows that are now sealed will be painted as though one could see inside of the 1870's carriage house. Two young hop workers will visit the site, standing in the doorway speaking with the workmen inside.
